Title : Proximity Mines
Filename : proxmine/src/weapons.qc
Author : Jonathan Avraham aka Shambler aka Procedure
Description : Proximity mines! Throw n-tropy's shit out the
window! This is the real thing! Just press 'M'
and a mine is laid. 3 seconds later, it's armed
and dangerous.
How to use : Quite simple:
1. Extract this ZIP file to a directory called
PROXMINE under your QUAKE directory.
2. Get QCC.ZIP (Available on the net @
http://www.stomped.com)
3. Put all the .QC files from QCC.ZIP that aren't
already there in the SRC directory.
4. Run QCCDOS.EXE from the SRC directory.
5. Edit the file CONFIG.CFG in your QUAKE\ID1
directory and add the following line:
bind m "impulse 12"
This will assign M to laying mines.
5. Switch to your QUAKE directory and type:
QUAKE.EXE -GAME PROXMINE
Voila! You're there!
Additional Credits to : As always, homage, praise, and worship to the badasses at id
for knowing what makes a good game, putting the player first
(because they are players) and for being really really
slick programmers.
Coming Attractions : More mods I made:
Lava Gun - Rapidly shoots lava, which
eventually splashes
spectacularly. Kinda like Doom's
plasma gun.
Power Axe - Nearly everyone made this one...
An axe that electrecutes upon
contact with flesh, stone or metal.
Homing Sticking Missiles - Stick up your enemy's
butt and explode
a while later.
Coming soon:
Sabotage Dogs - Quake HQ has come up with a cruel
new weapon: They implant bombs
inside the dogs' head that detonate
when the dog is really angry, i.e.
is biting or jumping at someone.
